Season's Greetings! Open Studio Dec. 20

Hello, art lovers and blog readers! It's pretty certain we will have a white Christmas here in the Hudson Valley this year. I am Ellen Perantoni, painter of the landscape in oil in a manner inspired by the Hudson River School and the later Barbizon School. I live and paint in the mid-Hudson Valley, in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains west of the fable river. My e-mail address is eperantoni@yahoo.com
This past weekend, I had a pleasant Open Studio event in between two snowstorms.
It celebrated the season with warmth and light despite the weather, with the joy that works of art can bring to the eye and the heart.
You can see a number of my works displayed in the photo at right. The painting on the easel depicts a building more prominent than is usual in Hudson River School art, but it was such a harmonious, peaceful scene of a home in the Hudson Valley that I had to paint it.
My art is available for purchase from this blog, by appointment in my studio and at several fine galleries that represent my work. These are located in the Hudson Valley, Mass. and California. Please contact me or browse other blog posts for their locations and contact info and hours.
If you purchase a work from an Internet photo, without seeing the original, you can return it within 30 days if you are not delighted with it. Most people feel my paintings look better than the photos.
Please enjoy my blog posts. At the bottom of this page you will see "Older Posts" that you can click on to see posts and paintings dating back to March 2007.
Have wonderful holiday! I would love to hear from you.
Ellen
