Wide Valley at 7 O'Clock

Hello, art lovers and blog readers. Hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season. I am Ellen Perantoni, painter of the landscape in oil in a manner inspired by the Hudson River School and the Barbizon School. I live and paint in the Hudson Valley of New York State, among the vistas that inspired the nineteenth-century masters. This blog contains art images, art chat, gallery and purchase information about my art. My e-mail address is eperantoni@yahoo.com and more of my art can be seen on www.artwanted.com/EllenPerantoni
You can read more about me, my work and my exhibits on google or yahoo; there are several pages about me on each search engine.
The painting at right is entitled "Wide Valley at 7 O'Clock" and I've photographed it in its heavy museum quality frame. In the frame, it measures a little over 12x14". The painting on masonite panel is 5x7". This painting has been sold, to an Internet collector.
If you wish to view other, similar works in my studio I am about 2 hrs. from the NYC metro area, 1 hr. from Albany and 4 hrs. from Boston.
If you purchase an art work from a digital photo on the Internet you can return it for a refund within 30 days for any reason. But most purchasers say my work has much greater depth and beauty in actuality than it does in photos.
I accept PayPal and funds drawn on USA-based banks. I am very experienced at packing and shipping art. I ship insured by the USPS, FedEx and DHL.
I hope you will read my other blog posts, which contain also information on galleries that exhibit my work if you prefer to view art in a gallery. I have galleries at several locations in the Hudson Valley, New England and California.
Once again, have great holidays.
I would love to hear from you!
Ellen

Ten O'Clock at the Pond

Hello, art lovers and blog readers! I am Ellen Perantoni, painter of the landscape in oil in a manner influenced by the Hudson River School and the Barbizon School. I live and work in the Hudson Valley of New York State, inspired by the same views and magical light captured by the 19th century masters. This blog contains art images, art chat, gallery and purchase information. My e-mail address is eperantoni@yahoo.com
The painting in the above image is entitled "Ten O'Clock at the Pond" and is a Hudson Valley scene viewed on a tranquil night in midsummer. A most dreamlike and unutterably peaceful image. It is executed on 11x14" stretched canvas, and is framed in a massive traditional gold museum quality frame.
This painting image was selected for projection on screen screen during a multi-media performance celebrating the Hudson Valley Quadricentennial. This celebration began with a performance in Albany, NY and future performances will be in Peekskill, NYC, Oswego and Lake Placid.
The original of this work has been sold to a collector.
My studio is about 2 hours north of the NYC metro area, in a forest on a mountainside in the northern Catskills, and other paintings can bee viewed there by appointment.
This work and some of my other images are also available as signed limited edition prints, on paper and canvas. A same-size signed and numbered print of this work on stretched canvas can be ordered for $145., unframed.
I accept PayPal and funds drawn on USA-based banks. I am very experienced in packing and shipping art and I ship insured by DHL, FedEx or USPS.
I hope you will view other blog posts, which can be viewed by scrolling down this page and then clicking on "Older Posts" at the bottom of this page. Some of the paintings in these blog entries are sold but others are available. For those who prefer to view art in galleries there is gallery contact information for my galleries in Peekskill, NY; Poughkeepsie, NY; Pound Ridge, NY, Pine Plains, NY and Great Barrington, Mass.
During this past year I was honored by having my work added to the permanent collection of Whistler House Museum of Art, which houses works by Whistler, Sargent and others. My work is listed in AskArt.
Have a great week and a great holiday! I would love to hear from you.
Very best,
