Blue Mountain Cottage

Hello, art lovers and blog readers! I am Ellen Perantoni, painter of the landscape in oil. My art is strongly influenced by the 19th century Hudson River School and the transitional Barbizon School. I live and paint in the Hudson Valley of New York State, amid the very landscape and atmosphere that inspired those immortal 19th century works of art. This blog is about my art images, art chat and purchase info. I sell my art through fine galleries, from my studio and from this blog.
My e-mail address is eperantoni@yahoo.com and more of my work can be seen on www.artwanted.com/EllenPerantoni
The painting at upper right is entitled "Blue Mountain Cottage", an 18x24" oil on stretched canvas which I've been working on since early fall, and is drying and awaiting its varnish. It was inspired by the hamlet of Blue Mountain, just east of the rampart of the northern Catskills.
This work is framed in a museum quality frame and is on exhibit at the Arlingt5on Art Gallery, 32 Raymond St., Poughkeepsie, NY. The Arlington is open every afternoon but Monday. This work is priced at $2400. in its museum quality wide gold frame, which brings its size to about 26x32" on the wall.
I hope you will read further blog posts, including those which can be seen by clicking on "Older Posts" at this bottom of this web page.
Enjoy the blog. Please contact me directly about any paintings which are not in the fine galleries that represent me--I always have some works in my studio that can be viewed by appointment, or at my August 16-17 studio tour and sale. The sutdio is about 2 hr. from he NYC metro area, 1 hr. from Albany, 4 hrws. from Boston, 2 hrs. from Hartford Ct. and Springfield, Mass.
Best, Ellen
