Niche in the Escarpment

Happy Memorial Day Weekend, friends and art lovers! This is Ellen Perantoni, painter of the landscape in oil. It's been a while since I posted but I have been busy --now that the rainy part of May is hopefully over, I am especially energized in painting the beautiful Hudson Valley in a manner inspired by the Hudson River School. At right is my latest finished work. This painting has recently been sold.

This work is on 8x10" stretched canvas, still drying in the studio. I will come back to this blog post later as it is another glorious day here, and I am inspired to paint outdoors today.
