Path Through the Grazing Lands

Hello again to all you who love the Hudson River School feeling in a work of art. I am Ellen Perantoni, painter of the landscape in oil, and that is what I love and my constant inspiration. I love landscape art with delicacy and power, mystery and crisp realism. I live and paint in the Hudson Valley of New York State and I created this blog in 2007. You can see more of my art on www.artwanted.com/EllenPerantoni and my e-mail address is eperantoni@yahoo.com
The painting at right is a path to what I know is a blissful destination. The light creates marvelous colors in the areas of brightness and shadow among the foliage at foreground.
This work is currently drying in my studio, and will be at my open studio (subject to prior sale)August 13-14 at my mid-Hudson Valley studio.
See more about the studio tour in the preceding blog post.
This work is on an 11x14" stretched canvas, and I plan to frame it in a museum quality traditional wide gold carved wood frame. Or, I will frame it as the purchaser requests. Framed, the price will be in the $900. range. I will consider a payment plan/fair offer from a sincere collector.
If you cannot make it to the open studio (about 2 hours north of the NYC metro area) please contact me for an appointment at another time.
If you purchase my art from an Internet photo without seeing the actual painting you can return it within 30 days for a refund if you are less than delighted. Most people feel my work has a depth that does not show up in dot-matrix digital photography.
I hope you will enjoy reading other blog posts. For more, click on "Older Posts" at the bottom of the page.
Have a great week! Summer is so lovely here, and summer painting so delightful, that I can't stay at the computer for long...
Very best, Ellen
