Cove and Streamlet, Hudson Valley

Hello.  This is Ellen Perantoni, painter of the landscape in oil, wishing you the very best in 2013.  This painting is now drying in my studio, and I am assembling my paints and brushes to begin a new work.   I paint the Hudson Valley and New England landscape in a manner inspired by the Hudson River school paintings of the nineteenth century by such masters as Thomas Cole, Frederick Church, and Sanford Gifford.  I feel fortunate to live and paint near many of the same sites they immortalized, and have often been drawn to paint famous views myself.  This painting is my interpretation of one of the many places of quiet beauty not far west of the Hudson, in the shadow of the Catskill Mountains.  You can see more of my art on www.artwanted.com/EllenPerantoni, and my e-mail address is eperantoni@yahoo.com

This work is on 12x16" stretched canvas and is priced at $900.  framed in a museum quality carved gold frame. As framed is is about 20x24" on the wall.   It is on exhibit at the Alt Gallery, Hillside Plaza, Rt. 179, Sedona AZ.  the Alt Gallery phone is 928-554-7840.

This blog goes back to 2007, and tells a story of the evolution of my art,and of many happy times in this valley, and of good times with friends and collectors.   It also shows appreciation, over time,  of the selling prices of my art.   I will consider a payment plan/fair offer for this painting from a sincere collector.

I will paint your favorite view as a commission,  at your favorite time of day and time of year. .The tawny colors in this painting evoke a hushed day in late summer in our beautiful valley.  .

If you would like to see my art before purchase I am happy to show it by appointment.  My studio is about 2 hours of the NYC metro area and within a few hours of most points in New England, NJ and eastern PA.   If you prefer to view art in a gallery, a few fine galleries in the Hudson Valley region represent me and have my art on exihibit all the time.  Please contact me or read more blog posts for gallery and exhibjt info

If you purchase a work from a digital photo without seeing the actual painting first, you can return the painting for refund within 30 days if you are not delighted.   .I think the painting in this post looks more sensitively detailed in actuality, and most people feel my art looks better than the flattish digital photos suitable for the Internet.

I would be happy to hear from you and answer any questions you may have.  .  Very best, Ellen  .
