Still Moment on the Hudson, August

Hello, art lovers and blog readers!  I have not posted in a while, far too long, because I have been moving my home and studio.   The geographic scope of my landscape painting has grown considerably with my recent move to the red rock country of Sedona, but I still cherish the beauty of Hudson River Country.  This work is unusual for me in that it was executed entirely en plein air -- that is, on site, on a still August morning on the path to the Saugerties Lighthouse on the Hudson.  The clouds are still tinted pink and the texture of the reeds as they emerge from the water at low tide can be felt as well as seen.
This is Ellen Perantoni here, painter of the landscape in oil,  posting to wish you all a Happy New Year.

This painting is on  an 8x10" stretched canvas,  simply framed in a flat wide gold traditional frame.  Fremed it is $600. and unframed the canvas is $500.  I have various frame styles I can show you.

If you purchase one of my paintings from a digital photo on the Internet and you are not completely delighted with it, I will take it back and refund your money within 30 days.  Most people feel my art looks better in actuality, because my art has a depth that does not come across in dot-matrix photography.

I hope you enjoy this blog, with art images, art chat purchase and teaching info  going back to 2007.  To view older posts, click on "Older Posts" at the bottom of this web page.

Have a wonderful New Year! and keep safe and happy.  I would love to hear from you.

          Best, Ellen
