Lower Hudson with Sailboats, and Upcoming Rhinebeck Exhibit

Hello, all! This is Ellen Perantoni with another landscape image: a timeless scene of the Hudson River of New York State, a view with elements both intimate and distant. I paint the landscape in oil in a manner inspired by the Hudson River School masters of the nineteenth century. I have the pleasure of living and working in the Hudson Valley, which still affords such unspoiled vistas as this one. This blog has art chat, painting images, browsing and purchase info. This blog goes back to 2007 and by now is something of a retrospective. I hope you enjoy it. I love to hear any comments and questions: my e-mail address is eperantoni@yahoo.com The painting at right is entitled Lower Hudson with Sailboats. It is oil on stretched canvas 8x16"; as framed in its traditional wide gold frame it is about 16x32" on the wall. It is priced $900. and is currently in my studio. If it does not sell before July 14, it will be in my exhibit in At the Top in Rhinebeck, NY, across the Hudson on the east side of the river. If you wish to view this painting in my studio, I show my art by appointment. My studio is in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains, about 3 hours north of the NYC metro area. it is also within a few hours of most points in New England, NJ and eastern PA. Watch this blog or contact me for more info about the upcoming Rhinebeck exhibit. After the exhibit closes, I will have an open studio weekend on August 11-12. At this annual open studio weekend, I am happy to meet the public and have made many lasting friendships. To view previous blog posts click on "Older Posts" at the bottom of this page. Have fun! I would love to hear from you. Ellen
