My Paintings at The Alt Gallery, Sedona AZ

Hello friends and art lovers, blog readers everywhere!  This is Ellen Perantoni again, painter of the landscape in oil in a manner inspired by the Hudson River School of the nineteenth century (before there were cameras good enough to capture the way things really look).  I am now living and working in Sedona AZ, and have paintings on display at the Alt Gallery, 671 Route 179, Sedona AZ.

The Alt  is on the first level of Hillside Plaza,  an inspired construction worth seeing in its own right, for the way in which it is built into the curves of the base of the red rock cliffs. The gallery is open 7 days a week and the phone number is 928-554-7840.

The gentle sunset pictured above was inspired by the art of Hudson River School master George Inness,  and the sun's track across the still water is a soft luminous gold.   The painting is executed on 11x14" stretched canvas, and in its heavy hardwood frame as pictured it is about 20x24" on the wall.  It is priced at $900.

I hope those of you within reach of Sedona will stop by the Alt.  And I hope those of you far from Sedona -- including those who have followed this blog since I lived in NYS - will consider a visit to Sedona.   It is a landscape of unique beauty, as you can see from my "red rock paintings"  in this blog.

I have been posting art images, art chat and purchase info on this blog since 2007 and you may enjoy reading the other posts going back to that year.  Just click on "Older Posts" at the bottom of this web page.

Have a great week!  Mark at the Alt Gallery would be happy to see you.

 Best, Ellen
