Rocky Hillside

Greetings, art lover and blog readers. I am Ellen Perantoni and I paint the landscape in oil, in a manner inspired by the Hudson River School and the Barbizon School. I live and paint in the Hudson Valley and am eagerly anticipating the coming of fall foliage color to this beautiful region. This blog is about my art with art images, art chat and purchase info. My e-mail
The painting at right is entitled "Rocky Hillside" and was inspired by the High Peaks region of the northern Catskill mountains, of Rip Van Winkle fame. The magnificent rock formations and murmuring streams of this region are wonderful, as is the dramatically changeable light.
This painting is on 12x16" canvas, and in an ornate traditional style gold frame it is priced $875. The framed size on the wall is about 20x24". I just finished it recently, and it can be purchased from this blog or by appointment at my studio. I will consider a reasonable offer/payment plan for a sincere collector.
My studio is in the foothills of these scenic peaks, a pleasant 2 hour drive from the NYC metro area. If you purchase a painting from this blog without seeing the original, you can return it for a refund within 30 days if you are not delighted.
I accept PayPal and funds drawn on USA-based banks. I am very experienced at packing and shipping art and ship insured by USPS, FedEx and DHL.
If any of you blog readers attended my studio sale August 11-12, I thank you especially for coming to meet me and making the sale a terrific success. I look forward to seeing you again.
More of my art can be seen on previous blog posts (click "Older Posts" at the bottom of this page for blogs going back to March 2007.) Also view www.artwanted.com/EllenPerantoni
Some of those paintings are sold but others are still available.
Have a great week and a wonderful weekend! I would love to hear from you.
Ellen

Beautiful landscapes. Makes me want to walk right into them. I mean into the space. I'm sure you're busy now with the fall colors.
